Pansy Poem: Warning Dust

This is my take at writing a pansy (D. H. Lawrence style short poem).

The dust on the diary rose like a phantom.

Thousand still particles suspended in air frowned at me.

There was a warning in their stubborn presence.

Don’t evoke the past, said they.
